Suitable for all applications in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology as well as drinking water and wastewater technology, STENFLEX® also includes products in its range that have been specifically designed for large-scale buildings right up to multi-story buildings and extensive sites such as airports and hospitals.
Certified sector specialist with all national and international product approvals
With STENFLEX®, you can rely on a globally established sector specialist with all of the major national and international product approvals for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology sector as well as the drinking water and food industry.
STENFLEX® rubber expansion joints primarily fulfill the internationally renowned DIN 4809 standard for expansion joints made from elastomer composite (type series AS and RS rubber expansion joints) for water heating systems: for a maximum operating temperature of 100°C and a permitted positive operating pressure of 10 bar and a temperature of up to 110°C at 6 bar.
STENFLEX® steel expansion joints fully comply with the requirements of the regulations set out by DVGW – the branch association of the German gas and water industry (Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V.); with DIN-DVGW type approval certificates, the joints can be used for products used in the gas-supply process.
All standards for use with drinking water, food and fodder
Drinking water: Our products meet all requirements of Elastomer Guideline approval in accordance with the "Guideline for hygienic assessment of elastomers in contact with drinking water" set out by the German Environment Agency as well as the requirements of DVGW standard W270 for non-metal materials in contact with drinking water for the protection of drinking water from micro-organisms. Internationally, the products comply with the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 177.2600, the French drinking water regulation approval criteria – (ACS, Attestation de Conformite Sanitaire) – as well as the requirements set out in English standards BS 6920-1:2000 (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme: WRAS approval).
Food and fodder: Furthermore, STENFLEX® expansion joints have proved their worth in the food and fodder industries for a number of years now. Our expansion joints made from medium-carrying bellows material, CIIR (butyl), comply with European Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 for example – this means that they are one of the materials or objects designed to come into contact with foodstuffs. They also fulfil all of the requirements of the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB).
Nationwide, multi-level sales with long-standing partnerships with commercial end customers – nationally and internationally
Worldwide sales: STENFLEX® products are used in locations all around the world in which systems are required for regulating the temperature, air humidity and air quality in closed spaces – from a single-family house to airports. As such, expansion joints are delivered to customers both nationally and internationally via nationwide, industry-leading specialist dealers.
Long-standing partnerships: STENFLEX® continuously cultivates multi-level sales with long-standing partnerships with specialist retailers who, in the framework of goods distribution, take on the role of adapting the products to customers' requirements in terms of the quantity of expansion joints being supplied and the time and location at which they are provided.

Finished-products warehouse with 20,000 standard components on demand
In our finished-parts warehouse, around 20,000 standard components are always available to customers on demand. As a result, short delivery times and supply reliability are guaranteed as a long-term, continuous assurance for customers that set particularly high requirements in terms of delivery accuracy and reliability – e.g. for a just-in-time delivery.
Absorption of vibrations: Thanks to their optimised loose structure, the rubber materials used in these expansion joints have higher absorption capabilities than all elastomer materials available on the market and therefore offer better vibration isolation in pipelines and on system components. They therefore also have outstanding damping properties.
Noise dampening: Requirements regarding noise protection have significantly increased in this sector in recent years. STENFLEX® expansion joints are making a greater contribution to dampening noises occurring in pipeline systems. Due to the elastic structure of the bellows, not only can structure-borne sound of pipelines be reduced but also most low-frequency liquid-borne sounds. STENFLEX® rubber expansion joints dampen vibration transmissions in a virtually ideal way in accordance with sound protection regulation DIN 4109. Depending on the respective underlying conditions, sound-damping in regard to structure-borne sound and most low-frequency liquid-borne sounds from 10 to 30 dB in the range of 150 to 5000 Hz can be achieved by fitting a rubber expansion joint. This corresponds to a sound reduction or vibration isolation of up to 95%.
Highly efficient systems that can easily be installed and securely incorporated
STENFLEX® makes life easy for its customers: standardised flange connections for our expansion joints ensure easy installation and secure incorporation in every pipeline system. Furthermore, the connections form the basis for perfectly coordinated and highly efficient systems in the field of heating, air conditioning and ventilation.
Comprehensive service and technical support from one source
STENFLEX® turns ideas into realities: We offer our customers – including our commercial end customers – a comprehensive service as well as technical support. Everything we offer is tailored to the respective requirements and comes from a single source.
