Rubber-metal elements
Eliminating vibration and noise
The natural properties of rubber make it the ideal material for damping elements. STENFLEX® produces rubber-metal elements that prevent the transmission of vibration and noise.
STENFLEX® rubber-metal elements are used as absorbers on machinery, measuring instruments, motors, pumps and industrial equipment, where they provide an effective means of insulating structure-borne sound. They can be combined with STENFLEX® rubber expansion joints. Together they create an optimum system solution for noise and vibration damping.
STENFLEX® rubber-metal elements are used:
- As bearings for absorbing shock and impact vibration
- As impact absorbing elements
- For soft absorption of impact and acceleration forces
Rubber-metal elements – Versions
Rubber-metal elements
Buffer: Axial compressive stress, for the absorption of impact forces (limitation of spring deflection)
Buffer elements: Lateral compressive stress and tensile load, for absorbing impact and acceleration forces
Rubber-metal elements
Floor element: Axial compressive stress and tensile load, for absorbing impact and acceleration forces
Rubber-metal elements
Rails: High compressive and shearing stress requiring little space
Machine feet: High axial compressive and stress and tensile load (deflection), low lateral shearing stress
