Fabric expansion joints

Remaining stable under pressure with gaseous media at high temperatures

STENFLEX® fabric expansion joints are chemically resistant to acid or alkaline gases and remain stable at overpressure or underpressure. This means that they are the solution of choice in particular for pipeline systems working with gaseous media at high temperatures up to +700°C. Plant and equipment engineering for conveying hot air or flue gas is a typical application.

STENFLEX® fabric expansion joints are high-quality products which are used in industrial equipment, plant units, machinery and pipelines. They have been proving their worth for many years in power engineering, the waste incineration/disposal industry, the cement and steel industry and the chemicals industry, as well as in materials handling and the ceramic industry.

What STENFLEX® fabric expansion joints do

  • Damp vibration and noise
  • Compensate motion and expansion
  • Compensate inaccurate assembly

Fabric expansion joints – Versions

Universal fabric expansion joints

Structure: Fabric bellows with adapters (flange, clamping straps)

Movement absorption: Axial, lateral, angular as well as superimposed movements can be absorbed. Universal expansion joints with two shafts are used to absorb significant movements.

Fixed points: Pipeline fixed points and a correct and proper pipeline are required to absorb axial forces.
